I've been thinking to myself the past days that I should write a new journal, so here 'tis.

Nothing much has happened since my last update, except that I'm working full time, which mostly explains why I haven't written anything in weeks.  Rundown:
I'm working at School Specialty, a book publishing warehouse.  It's pretty monotonous, and tiring, but not all that hard which is good.  Mostly we just take books out of boxes and put them in other boxes for 8 hours a day.  And sometimes we get to put stickers on the boxes!  Yay for being a middle man! :D

Seriously though, it's not that bad.  Most days it's actually pretty amusing due to the people that work there.  Most all of the seasonal employees (like me) are college kids, so it's not at all awkward talking to them.  That being so, we have some dang interesting conversations... yep.  Dang interesting.
I'm gonna be kind of sad when I have to switch shifts at the end of this month, cause all cool acquaintances I have won't be switching with me. :<
AH WELL.  It's just a job after all.


Besides that, what has happened...
Um, I had a b-day that was very uneventful, but I loved it.  There was cake and Iron Man presents, and I got to watch Nic Cage movies, so yay for that!

And I think I'm gonna get my ears pierced again this weekend. 
Well, I'm going to, I just don't know if it's going to be this weekend or not. :/

Trying to think what has happened lately.  Not much, I can tell you that.

My brother and I have been working at my cousin's boathouse for the past week and a half.  That's pretty bland, and takes up way too much time out of the day, but whatever.  We're getting paid for it so I shouldn't complain. 
And because of that I haven't had time for much else lately.

I went and saw Wolverine and Star Trek last week or something.  Those were pretty rad. :3

OH and then yesterday we had a burial for my pet degu who died suddenly of natural causes.
Poor little rodent.  You had a good run of seven years and outlived all your siblings.  The room seems utterly silent now without you running on your wheel...

Expedition UP 2009 was a success.
Jonathan was retrieved from college without a hitch, mom and I didn't get pulled over or fall asleep at the wheel, I got to drive like 350 miles straight, and we even managed to have a little fun along the way.  Now, this trip wasn't meant to be too exciting, but my mom and I figured that if we had to go on such a long car ride anyway, that we might as well make it into a mini vacation.  I think it worked.

Moved out of my school apartment and back home on Friday, which is FANTASTIC.
I'm SO excited to be done with school and not have to worry about it for another four months!
Props to Rebecca who's being a machine and taking a spring class. The best of luck with that!  c:

What else?
My sis and I went to Lake Michigan after she came home from school on Friday.  Then we came home and hung out and watched westerns all night.  Saturday it rained like nobody's business, we played softball, and I ran a bunch of errands, which (though tedious) was surprisingly fun.  Oh, and then Jenna and I babysat that night, which was sweet.  I made my sister deal with the little midgets and I watched TV and got paid for it. Heehee, I'm such a mastermind. ;3
Today it rained some more, and despite the rain we did a whole bunch of yard work, found a pile of fat worms and put them in the garden, and then Jenna and I played softball some more.  Now we're sitting here playing Battleship and waiting for the pizza we ordered to be ready.  idk where my parents are.  But whatever, not having them here just completes this whole "sister bonding" weekend I've had going on.

Gotta mail a buttload of things tomorrow cause I missed the mail on Saturday. :C

I'm at work right now, a.k.a. "sit there, do nothing, and get paid for it." 
And I could be working on my presentation for tomorrow, but whatever.  I don't want to work on it.  It's mostly done and I can just play it by ear anyway... I guess.

This weekend was Easter, which was pretty sweet.  Went home Saturday, which was pretty dull, but Sunday was crazy busy as always at my house. 
We had sunrise service @ 7:00, and somehow I managed to get there, stay awake and look halfway decent too. :3
Then there was the Easter breakfast, which I used as an excuse to talk to all the church people I haven't seen all year, and who seemed surprised to see me (psh, yeah right, like there's a chance the pastor's daughter would not be there Easter Sunday).  AND HOLY CRAP SPEAKING OF SURPRISES, I went home for awhile between the two services, and when I get back to church Marcus was there!  He nearly gave me a heart attack, but still, THERE WAS MUCH REJOICING.
So I hung out with my homeboy Marcus for a few hours after the 10:30 service.  It was just like the good old times in highschool.  We played Monopoly, bothered the dog, and spyed on his old house.  But then we had to go to my aunt's to eat. :c  Gosh I miss talking to that kid, but he's doing well, so that's awesome.  And I'll see him this summer, so it's all good. :]
And then at my Aunt's it was a pretty standard family gathering.  Ate a freaking delicious meal, played cards, and then my dad & uncle watched golf and us girls went out and had an easter egg hunt.  My eggs had jolly ranchers and money in them. :3

SO all in all it was a completely epic day of nostalgia. <3

And now back to the harsh reality of plate tectonics presentations and philosophy papers.

Another post! Don't know if this is gonna be a regular thing or not, we'll see.


SO I woke up today an hour and 45 minutes after my alarm, with a bloody nose, blurred vision, and this overwhelming sense of dread.  What the crap?
Now I feel physically fine, and my eyesight is mainly back to normal (but things are still fuzzy, especially with my right eye).

My mom chalks it up to stress, but I don't feel stressed.  Sure, classes are finishing up, and I've got a bunch of papers/presentations coming due, but nothing I can't handle.

Whatever.

I've just been chilin', watching TV shows, and eating some ice cream, cause possibly being sick is always a good excuse to do such things. :3

I literally have nothing better to do, and I'm just waiting for an hour til my next class, so I thought I'd actually write a JOURNAL about my LIFE.
WOAH OH.  CRAZY.  I know.
And idk why I'm posting this here instead of dA (cause nobody reads my journal here), I just felt like writing it.

Moving onwardly!
So normally Thursdays are like horrid, craptacular, emo days for me, cause I've got like 5 hours of class, and a 3 hour chemistry lab.  And I TOTALLY hate chemistry this year, it's royally kicking my ass, and I'm gonna have to take the class over again... but that wasn't my point.  I was saying that I usually hate Thursdays, but today I don't.  No clue why.  I feel like I should feel crappy, but I'm happy instead, so WHATEVER.  I'm just embracing it.

Reasons why I might be happy:
- Free jazz concert tonight
- The weather is actually not crappy for once.
- I HAD MY LAST CHEM LAB TODAY
- I just went on an online shopping spree and bought a bunch of crap like bras, shoes, jewelry, craft supplies, and books.  YAY ME.
- I've got a summer job lined up already, and one that's really easy, fun, and pays well!  Downside is that it's only for two weeks.  :/  And I applied to the place I worked last summer (that job was alright), but I haven't heard back yet.
- ONLY TWO WEEKS OF SCHOOL LEFT.  EPIC YES.
- Easter is this week and I get to go home for a day. :3
- OH and because Ash got me into watching Supernatural which contains all my favorite things wrapped up in one (sexy guys, cool music, TV, and action/horror) <3

And this is very quickly turning into nonsensical and pointless sentences.  Which is maybe a big part of the reason I never update this. HAHA.

Well, I managed to waste about eight minutes writing this, only 52 minutes left.
I think I'll go wander around outside listening to my iPod and basking in the glory of the sun.

So I haven't updated this thing in a while, but it's okay cause only about two people know of its existence anyways.  BUT despite that, I had an awesome freaking day and needed to share.

First, school was canceled so I got to sleep in, and come on who doesn't love that?  So that event started the day off on a good note. 
But the thing that made this day so awesome was the fact that I got to hang out with my old high school friend who I haven't seen in about two years.  So I hitch a bus ride over to his house, picked up a roommate and a girlfriend, and then got coffee and went to watch "Cloverfield."
Honestly... I don't know what to think of that movie.  It was like a low-key Godzilla or something, except sadder.  Plus we just laughed through the entire thing when it was supposed to be suspenseful and scary.  Oh, and there was candy involved. :3
Went back to his place, hung around, watched Saw IV, had some Asian food.  It was all good.

But the bus stop was what made this day truly eventful... and I honestly don't know how to say this without making it seem like something it's not... but here goes anyway:  Today I made three new friends and discovered that the fucking funnest thing in the world is hanging around people that are stoned out of their minds.  And that's not even anything like it sounds, but it's just too hard to explain, and I'm still too stoked from the entire experience to narrate the whole thing... oh man... I really need to get out more.

Well, today is either the end of my freedom, or the start of it, depending on how you look at it.  Why?  Because tomorrow I move to college.  And I suppose I'm pretty psyched about that.  What I'm not psyched about is having to pack up my entire life to make it fit inside of a mini-van... which is what I've been doing for the past three days.  Oh well, it still beats living at home.
